Echoes of April 2 – “The Energy Challenge to the sustainability of well-being”. Naples, Villa Doria d’Angri, 12.12.2011
With the organization of this event, the Simone Cesaretti Foundation has made energy issue the main subject of the debate on the sustainability of well-being, a difficult challenge to deal with that, starting from the environmental dimension, ends with compromising sustainable development also on the socio-economic, local and generational plan. The Forum was attended by numerous representatives of institutional and entrepreneurial world which are compared to discuss the important issue of energy sustainability. The Forum closed with the awarding of a prize to some enterprises, institutions and civil society who have chosen, through the adoption of responsible behaviour, solutions to achieve energy sustainability, considered “Excellences of sustainability “.
Redevelop the concept of well-being, identify global equity strategies and ensure energy sustainability, are the main objectives in order to achieve the sustainability of well-being: a global issue which raises problems about measurement, generational imbalances and preservation, in time and space, of natural resource heritage.
In this context, the Simone Cesaretti Foundation, lay the energy issue at the heart of the debate on the sustainability of well-being, a difficult challenge to deal with that, starting from the environmental dimension, ends with compromising sustainable development also on the socio-economic, local and generational plan.
The attainment of the objective of energy sustainability, in particular, is a real bridge through which it’s possible to transfer welfare to the current and future generations, and ensure sustainable development in southern Italy.
According to the Foundation it is important that the debate on energy sustainability will be oriented more and more towards the recognition of the central role of the stakeholder best practices, identifying appropriate strategies for enhancing the excellence of sustainability. The latter, as models of adoption of responsible behaviour in the institutional and business field, in civil society, communication and research field, are the real driving forces for the sustainability of the well-being of mankind.
